Tired and slightly groggy Elliott and Greg arrived into Dubai early on Saturday morning and were greeted by a fresh faced Mr Saad. From the airport we went straight to the hotel – the splendid Dusit Thani on Sheikh Zayed Road.
After last year’s lack of internet access Greg and Saad were relieved to learn that the room has complimentary WIFI – A massive plus here in Dubai! The hotel apartment really is excellent with a great view of the Burj Khalifa and downtown Dubai from one side and overlooking Jumeirah beach from the other.
After settling into the hotel and having breakfast; Elliott sat down to finish his UAE strategical master plan, whilst Greg and Saad headed to down to the Dubai World Trade Centre to set up the stand and then onto Carrefour to purchase the all important mints.
After a couple of hours out and about Greg and Saad returned to the hotel and met Elliott by the pool. After a quick swim (Saad attempting to swim) came a MintTwist first – the first ever hot tub management meeting – they do say some of the world’s best plans are laid out in hot tubs.
With a strategy and plans finalised for GITEX, Saad and Greg went on to school Elliott on the official MintTwist GITEX charm offensive, key skills are;
To round of the deal we had a lovely Lebanese meal (with awful service) followed by a few beers in the hotel bar before Elliott and Greg dropped dead from exhaustion.
So here we are again back at GITEX and excited about the week ahead. We really have some great plans for growing the UAE branch of the MintTwist family. We look forward to keeping you all updated via our blog and winning some new business here.
